- As a critical care nurse I must say that I am completely appalled at the e consult note I found in my mychart written by Dr. Rittman. I have never met this man, nor spoken to him, however he apparently knows enough about me based on my chart to suggest that my mother (suffering from mental illness and requiring disability) possibly was misdiagnosed as bipolar since "it is not clear that mom's diagnosis is accurate or that reports of it are accurate; such reports are not a reliable means of diagnosis as chronic lability/mood instability and impulsive/"risky" behavior ". He also believes the symptoms in my chart are not indicative of mental illness, yet suggests interventions for suicide risk reduction. "27 yof with history of a variety of prior diagnoses, now with concern for possible bipolar disorder while taking adderall. would consider dcing that med and reassessing" I have been on Adderall for 4 years now, if that med was the cause, it sure had a delayed adverse effect
