- If I could give zero stars I would. Went with my 80 yo mother to her 1st appt with Gowda bc she is experiencing onset dementia so memory & facts are fuzzy. First, the office was crap and looks/feels like a unfinished storage area and should be closed down. Second, the Dr started asking inappropriate personal questions that had nothing to do with medicine and why mom was there. Third, Dr kept pressing mom to answer questions that she didnt have the answers to even after I said several times that she nor I didn't know. She aggressively pushed for mom to make assumptions instead of reading the test results which show out of normal range and discussing facts around the possibilities of why the numbers are trending a certain way & how she could possibly assist by creating a plan, course of action or next steps. The Dr may be nice, but I can get that anywhere. We came for medical expertise & she provided none, she asked intrusive personal questions that were unrelated to medicine & none of her business, she badgered mom and I with questions that she should have been telling us answers to based on mom's test results, she has zero bedside manner and does not know how to establish a good Dr./patient rapport with the elderly or their caregivers. Not sure why Dr thinks her rough behavior will help retain patients, but within 10 min of being in the room w her she was fired in my mind & I knew that mom and I would NEVER go back. Too many good nephrologists in Atlanta area to deal with her crap. Lastly, mom left the office with no diagnosis, no plan or next steps, no to do list, no nothing, but Dr scheduled an appt for 3 months later? Dr and the appt were cancelled from the office pkg lot. Beware this Dr is a waste of time, money, not helpful at all, has horrible bedside manner, crosses the line w inappropriate questions and has poor rapport building skills. In essence, she sucks in every aspect except initially presenting as "nice". Saw red flags from start to finish. Too many good nephrologist in atlanta metro to trust your own or loved ones care to this narcissistic loser. Run and dont look back. Your life may depend on it.
